Banff Mountain Film Festival is a prestigious international film competition that was established 43 years ago in Banff, Canada. The festival takes place annually for over a week in Canada, and showcases the top 80 films from more than 350 entries with a special focus on mountain-based filmmaking. The films are also awarded in a mixture of categories, including Best Film on Mountain Sport, Best Film on Mountain Environment, Best Film on Mountain Culture, Best Film on Exploration and Adventure and more.
Over two hours of these films are selected to be shown in a number of locations around Australia in the Banff Mountain Film Festival World Tour, and this year it’ll stop once again at the iconic Home of the Arts on the Gold Coast.
